This raspberry & honey whipped cream cheese toast is golden, spread with whipped cream cheese sweetened with a drizzle of honey, and finished with a glossy raspberry chia jam that’s bright, tart, and a little indulgent in the best way. I picked the raspberries for this recipe and the idea for this toast came to me while doing so! Making this raspberry jam is one of my favourite things to do with all of our fresh raspberries in the summer, and I’m always looking for new ways to use it every summer. There’s something so peaceful about wandering through the rows in the sunshine, gathering berries by hand—still warm from the sun. It’s where I feel the most inspired- so I love turning them into recipes that feel both nostalgic and new, and this one might be my favourite. It’s vibrant, a little unexpected, and the flavour combination just feels like summer: sweet, tangy, creamy, and luxe in the simplest way.

Making the Raspberry Jam & Honey Whipped Cream Cheese Toast

Make the Raspberry Chia Jam first – or use your favourite brand! Mine is absolute perfection, I will say! Then make the honey whipped cream cheese. Add the cream cheese to a mixing bowl and use a hand mixer to beat until smooth, fluffy, and light—it takes a couple of minutes, but the texture becomes so airy and luxurious. Add in the honey and a small pinch of sea salt, then whip again until silky and smooth.

Toast your sourdough until golden and crisp. Spread it with a generous swipe of whipped cream cheese and push it closer to the edges of the toast to create a centre for the jam! Then spoon over your raspberry chia jam. Finish with a drizzle of honey and a touch of flaky salt if you like—because we love a moment of extra flavour and sweetness here!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup organic cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 pinch flakey sea salt

Instructions

  • Whip the cream cheese until smooth, airy, and fluffy—it takes a few minutes with a hand mixer, but the texture becomes super luxe. Add in honey and a small pinch of salt, then whip again until silky.
  • Toast the sourdough to golden perfection. Spread generously with the honey whipped cream cheese and push it towards the edges to create a middle dip for the raspberry jam! Top with a spoonful of homemade raspberry chia jam. Finish with a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of flaky sea salt, if you like.
