Cinnamon Maple Granola

Granola & Fall. Two of my favourite things. When you combine the both of them you not only get the most delicious granola flavour but also the perfect fall recipe to make! With warming notes of cinnamon and a sweet and salty maple flavour, this cinnamon maple granola will definitely become your new favourite way to make granola at home! The reason why I love making granola in the fall is because the smell of it in the oven is so warming and cozzy! I day dream about making myself a beautiful yogurt bowl in the morning and topping it off with this cinnamon maple granola, cozying up with a blanket with the fire place on! Ahhh it just means fall to me! The day after I made this batch, thats exactly what I did for the next 5 mornings lol! I seriously can’t wait for you to try this cinnamon maple granola, its made with simple wholesome ingredients, and the flavour will make you fall in love!

What You’ll Need

I love making granola at home for so many reasons! I have never been able to find a store bought granola that I fancy more than my homemade versions, & there usually filled with unnecessary oils, ingredients and preservatives! This will keep in the freezer for a very long time and tastes fresh the whole time! Mine never lasts that long anyway because it’s so addicting and the perfect snack! You can totally customize this too, switch out anything for another nuts or seed, or add something in! I always change mine depending on what I have on hand… so don’t worry if you have something a little different it will sill be perfect and taste amazing with that cinnamon maple coating trust me!

Making The Granola

Making this Cinnamon Maple Granola is actually very simple and effortless! It’s one of the reasons why I love making granola at home! I also have some other granola recipes I’ll link to as well, my honey & chai spiced granola, my chocolatey cinnamon coconut granola! They’re all amazing it just depends on what your in the mood for! This cinnamon maple granola just screams fall to me and here’s how to make it! Start by combining all your nuts and seeds into a large bowl! I would preheat your oven to 375 degrees now as well!
Now we will prep the cinnamon maple coating! This step is by far my favourite part to making the granola, making the coating is so fun and it smells amazing! In a small saucepan add your coconut oil, almond butter, sea salt and half of your cinnamon! Allow this to all melt together and simmer for 5 minutes! When you take it off the heat add your maple syrup, the rest of your cinnamon to deepen the flavour, and your vanilla! Taste test to see if you want it sweeter or saltier here! Pour this over your bowl of nuts and seeds and spread this out on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes – just until light golden brown! Be careful not to burn it, I check mine every 5 minutes because it can burn very easily and you don’t want that!
Once you take it out of the oven, let if cool off your 5 minutes then immediately place your baking sheet in the freezer for 30-40 minutes. This is what forms those beautiful large chucks of granola…. it’s what makes a really good granola and is a must for me every time I make one of my granola recipes! Once you take it out of the freezer break it up into glass containers or jars and store in the freezer for best keeping!
This cinnamon maple granola has seriously become one of my all the favourite fall recipes! The smell of the cinnamon maple coating is beyond amazing, and the don’t even get me started on the smell in the oven while its baking! It’s such a lovely feeling to have in the kitchen this fall! I hope you love this recipe as much as me,
So much love & happy fall I love you
