I These chocolate avocado truffles are sooo delicious, creamy and fudgey! I’m so in love with these gorgeous babies! I mean look at how beautiful they are, and they have the most amazing texture too! Since these are chocolate & espresso truffles, I immediately thought of crushed pistachios as the coating…. and trust me WOW! I then topped them off with dried rose petals and flakey seas salt and I don’t think I’ver ever seen a prettier truffle in my life…
what you’ll need
The ingredients for these chocolate & espresso avocado truffles are so simple! If you’re the type of person to let your avocados get too ripe before you use them, then this recipe is going to be your new favourite! You will want your avocados to be really ripe as it allows for the most amazing thick and creamy texture! I LOVE raw cacao powder, it’s seriously the best and so good for you, I always use it over cocoa powder the taste is so much richer and more real if that makes sense! I’m obsessed with dark chocolate so the realer the better for me! Then all you need is almond butter (my favourite) or any type of seed or nut butter, maple syrup or honey for sweetness, some espresso powder for that delicious coffee bean flavour, and cinnamon of course! I add a dash of sea salt and splash of vanilla here too!

Making the Chocolate & Espresso Avocado Truffles
This is a very easy dessert to make, the only thing to keep in mind with these truffles is once you make the truffle batter, it will have to harden for 2-3 hours in the freezer so you can roll it into balls! I use a food processor for this but you can use a blender too! First I add the avocados, almond butter, maple syrup or honey (sometimes I do half and half), and a splash of vanilla! This will give you a beautiful creamy green avocado pudding as you can see!
Now to make this chocolatey and have hints of coffee bean, add in your cacao, espresso powder and cinnamon! It’s a coffee chocolate dream! Look at the texture of this! It’s honestly so satisfying! You don’t have to add in the espresso powder either, you can just opt in for the chocolate flavour and you will still be just as satisfied!
Once you have your beautiful chocolate truffle mix, scoop this into a bowl and place this into the freezer for 2-3 hours, to harden! You will notice at first it is way to soft to form into balls, so this will allow it to harden! Look at that texture…
When it has hardened you can form it into balls, it might get a little messy as they melt very quickly in your hands but just do it quickly! They don’t have to be perfect because they will get rolled right away in your toppings! I chose to do crushed pistachios and some raw cacao!
I would love to try crushed almonds and coconut next time I make these… but the pistachios and raw cacao were soooo good too! These chocolate avocado truffles would be the perfect treat for over the holidays, especially with the crushed pistachios! I then topped them off with some dried rose petals of course!
You will effortlessly fall in love with these espresso & chocolate avocado truffles, I know I have and they are a new weekly staple in the healthy desserts for me! They are so cuteeeeeeee I love them! I can’t wait for you to try them too!
