  • 1 tsp sea salt & pepper
  • roasted garlic heads & ½ of the roasted olive oil from garlic

Toppings

  • rest of your roasted olive oil from the garlic

  • fresh herbs - cilantro or parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°
  • Slice a thin layer off of the head of your garlics so you can just see each individual clove! Add them to a baking dish add your olive oil and spice mix over top. Place this in the oven for 20-30 minutes, or until soft!
  • While your garlic is cooking add your chickpeas, lemon, tahini, spices, and olive oil to a blender or food processor. Add your garlic cloves once thier done. Add about ½ of the olive oil from the baking dish that the garlic cooked in, and save the other half for on top of the hummus to serve!
  • Blend everything together! Add the ice cold water to get a creamy and smooth texture on your hummus. Add more depending on your desired consistency. Taste test to see if you need any more salt/pepper/spices!
  • Plate your hummus in a bowl or spread. Top it with more za'atar, that roasted garlic olive oil, roasted chickpeas, fresh herbs, or anything else you like! Or enjoy as is!
