Healthier Hot Cocoa

Rich and creamy healthier hot cocoa that will satisfy you with every sip! Topped with coconut whip cream and dark chocolate shavings! The ingredients are simple and free of any added sugars, and you can whip it up in under 10 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 tbsp water optional
  • 4 tbsp raw cacao or cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp chopped dark chocolate I like to use 80%
  • 2-3 tbsp maple syrup or honey more to taste
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp sea salt

TOPPINGS

  • coconut whipped cream
  • chocolate shavings

Instructions

  • In a saucepan add you almond milk, cocoa, dark chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla, and sea salt and place on low- medium heat
  • Once everything is melted together and you get a chocolatey consistency, you are ready to serve! Taste test to see if it needs some more sweetness or maybe a little extra sea salt
  • Pour into you favourite mug, and top your choice of toppings! (above there are lots of listed options) Enjoy this rich and creamy delight!
