My Obsession with Trench Coats ft. Islie & Hazel
I’m obsessed with fall, leaves, trench coats and above all else my two little cavaliers, Islie & Hazel! They are pretty much my entire world lol! So don’t be surprised if you see their cute little faces in the majority of my photos and videos! They love fall and the leaves just as much as me and they apparently insisted in being in the majority of these shots, which I’m totally fine with! Anyways back to fashion! The season of fall and autumn means trench coats of course, you seriously can’t go wrong with a good trench coat! Trench coats are the prime example of a wardrobe staple that will literally never go out of style! One, because they can pretty much go with any look, whether your a minimalist when it comes to fashion or your a maximalist, they will do you no wrong! Two, trench coats are seriously timeless and you will hold onto them forever! Especially the ones with a more neutral colour pallet, just like the beige one I styled below! I have had it for years, and it will always be a favourite of mine! We went to a beautiful park by my house, and the trees and leaves looked so beautiful! Wardrobe Staple
Trench coats for me will always be a must in my wardrobe! You can dress them up, or dress them down and they somehow just make your outfit feel so complete no matter what is underneath! Trench coats have been classic since the beginning of fashion, and they are the best investment piece because I promise they will never go out of style! You will wear them for years to comes, and they never really need to be replaced other than you adding to your collection! They are also perfect for colder, wetter days and are so durable for the chilly season!
Timeless & Flexible
Whether you are going out for a fancy dinner, or need an extra layer for over you outfit trench coats are so flexible when it comes to incorporating them into your looks! Underneath this trench I had a matching sweatsuit, brown sweats and a matching brown long sleeve, super casual I know! But when I added this trench, the outfit went to a whole new level! That’s what I mean when I say flexible! Trenches aren’t just something you will grab in a blue moon, they are truly timeless and so functional with so many looks!
Designed with Detail
Another thing I LOVE about trench coats, is that they always have some type of added detail! Whether that is from the buttons running down the front, a tied waist band, the folded collar, or the shape of the silhouette, they always seem to have added detail to finish the look! This trench has front buttons that I’m obsessed with, and I love how long it is! It creates a beautiful shape and profile from top to bottom! The collar also has a double fold, folding over once again after the collar giving a unique look and style!
Matrix Made
There is just something about wearing a trench coat that makes you feel cool and sexy! It reminds me of the black leather trench coat look from the movie the Matrix, which actually sparked fashion inspiration and the black leather trench quickly became a well known trend! Trench coats make for such a statement, and just feels right! It adds a pep in your step and is definitely a go-getter look no matter what you have on underneath! It instantly commands attention, and personally I think trench coats look so cool on anyone! It’s safe to say I’m obsessed!
& know you can understand and support my obsession with trench coats lol… no but really they are seriously one of my favourite fashion pieces and I can’t wait to style more looks and share them with you guys! I’m thinking a sleek looking black trench coat next…
