My Makeup Must Haves, Beauty Essentials & Routine

So you’re a girl who loves a chic makeup bag full of your favourite products, well perfect because me too! I can’t wait to share with you all of my makeup must haves and favourite beauty essentials for my everyday makeup routine! I have always loved makeup before I was even allowed to wear it lol! I grew up obsessed with makeup tutorials and makeup hauls on youtube! All that time I spent watching those videos has definitely paid off, because I feel like I have nailed my makeup and beauty routine and found my holy grail products after a ton of trial and error! Makeup has always been an art form to me and something that I have have viewed as an creative outlook! Over the years I have definitely changed how I do my makeup and it has definitely evolved with my growth, now I focus more on a natural look that enhances my natural beauty! I’ll share with you below all my tips and tricks that create this type of look with minimal effort, simple techniques, and what to focus on to enhance your own natural essance!

My Makeup & Beauty Routine
First things first, I always always always and I mean always!!!! Start with a Gua sha, I’ll link the one I have that I have been loving and using for years! Make sure that yours is real quartz, it makes all the difference! Most people miss this step and it is crucial to getting a beautiful, smooth and snatched face before putting on your makeup! What I have learned over the years is that your makeup literally sits and sets different on your face after it has been prepped with a Gua sha, it tones, levels, and decreases puffiness and inflammation! It’s truly my main hack to getting a natural essence and glow before the makeup goes on! Never miss this step if you want that perfect look every. single. time! Next I’ll go on with my saje rosewater spray to help detox my skin and keep in safe from the products I am about to put on, because let’s be honest we know they are full on chemicals that aren’t amazing for our skin! I allow that to air dry on my skin and allow the rose water to seep into my skin, it’s one of my favourite feelings in the morning or before I start to get ready! Those are the two ways I start my makeup routine with out question! It really helps me fall in love with my natural glow and radiance!

Next, I will start spot reducing any blemishes or spots I have with my Nars concelar, and I’ll set that with my powder! I either use my Laura Mercier translucent powder, or this Airspun Loose Face powder and I love it ! I do not use any foundation, I find it to cakey for my preference no matter how many I try! I find not using it really keeps my makeup look natural and more radiant! This has been something I have learned over the years and it keeps my routine much more minimal and easy as well which I love!
After spotting my blemishes, my main focus is always my brows, lips, and blush if I’m not doing my full makeup routine! After that it’s an add on! If I’m doing my full makeup for going out etc, obviously I love to do mascara, bronzer, and of course some highlight. But my brows, check bones, and lips are always what I do on the days I still want to feel put together and ready when I’m not doing my full makeup look! Your brows give your face so much shape and structure, and your check bones make your eyes pop naturally with no mascara, and who doesn’t want a glossy shiny lip?! These main features will really amplify your natural beauty. When I’m doing my full makeup routine after I spot any blemishes, I’ll start with my brows, using my Anastasia Brown pencil and Gel (everything is linked below, with my colours), then I’ll shape my face with my absolute favourite bronzer, The Chanel bronzing cream! It blends so beautifully! Then I’ll put one of my favourite blushes on, I switch between the Dior Rosy Pink and the Hour Glass blush!
My next tip is to really make sure to blend at this point, you don’t want any harsh lines, or unblended colour! You want your blush to flow into your bronzer, and your highlight to give a little sparkle on your check bone not a steak! My favourite highlighters are my Dior Highlight and my Chanel Highlight stick! I go over my checkbone, my nose bridge & nose tip, cupids bow, and brow arch! I finish my look with my mascara, the one and only They’re Real Mascara by Benefit Cosmetics! I have been using this masacara for 12 years you guys…. I’ve NEVER found a better one and I don’t think I ever will!
I can’t recommend enough using a setting spray once your done your makeup routine! This makes such a difference in how it stays on and the Charlotte Tillberry Setting spray gives you such an amazing glow, and keeps it looking fresh all day! Along with a setting spray, I do one of my favourite scents to complete my routine! I loveeeee the Burberry Goddess, Viktorr&Rolf Flowerbomb Nector, and the Dior Blooming Bouquet!
Don’t worry if you didn’t catch all that hehe, I’ll have everything linked below including my favourite colours and shades specified in everything!
