Movement Meets Adornment: Pilates Princess Edit

Athleisure aesthetic has officially crossed into fashion territory — and Pilates sets are no longer something you just work out in. They’re styled, intentional, and quietly directional yet fashionable. This is where movement meets adornment: sculpting silhouettes, tonal matching, and pieces that feel just as at home as they do at the studio. I just attended the cutest Pilates event at Lagree Studios here in Kelowna, they just launched the cutest collaboration with Lavender&Grace Jewelry you can shop here!

Lately, I’ve been drawn to workout sets that read clean, elevated, and feminine — the kind that feel effortless but unmistakably styled. Think soft compression, flattering seams, muted neutrals, and fabrics that move beautifully with the body. There’s a certain confidence that comes from wearing something considered, even when the plan is simply Pilates and a coffee after.

This is my Pilates Princess edit — a fashion-forward take on movement dressing. Below, I’m sharing the workout sets and brands I reach for most, how to make any form of movement feel chic, intentional pulled together, and how I style movement so it feels like adornment — not obligation. Let’s get into it…

The Outfit: Soft Structure, Always

A good workout set does more than support your body — it sets the tone for how you show up. I gravitate toward pieces that feel second-skin soft, but still sculpting and intentional.

Think:

Clean & sculpted silhouettes

Muted, wearable tones

Fabrics that move with you, not against you

Matching aesthetic

Matching sets are my forever favourite because they instantly feel pulled together, even on low-energy days. When the outfit feels good, movement feels easier — and suddenly getting dressed for Pilates becomes something you look forward to.

I’ll be linking my favourite brands and sets below — the ones I always reach for, reorder, and recommend to friends. It’s a mix of staples and current loves, depending on my mood and season.

The Hair: Effortless, Polished, Unbothered

Hair is part of the look — even when you’re heading to a workout. For Pilates days, I keep it simple and intentional, sometimes styled with a little something extra:

A sleek low bun

A sleek half up do (as pictured)

A soft claw clip

A high ponytail that still feels feminine

The goal isn’t perfection — it’s ease. Hair that stays out of the way, but still feels aligned with the outfit. A small detail, but one that makes the whole look feel elevated.

The Intention: Movement as Adornment

This is where it all comes together.

When I approach movement with intention — not pressure — everything shifts. Dressing softly, moving gently, and choosing strength without force creates a kind of quiet confidence. It’s not loud. It’s not performative. It’s magnetic in the most subtle way.

Movement doesn’t have to strip you down or harden you. It can soften you. It can ground you. It can be an act of care.

To me, Pilates Princess energy is about honouring your body, enjoying the ritual, and letting movement feel like a form of self-respect — beautifully styled.

I’ve linked all my favourite workout sets and brands linked here for you guys! There are so many good ones right now, it’s honestly impossible to choose favourites — so let me know which ones you love most.

This is movement, but make it adorned. 🩰✨
