Eeeeeeeeeeek! Welcome to my 2023 fall fashion guide! No, but like I’m actually so excited because the time has come when everyone starts thinking about FALL FASHION!! I mean if I’m being honest with you, I’ve been thinking about fall fashion since June… I know I know ok! It’s just my absolute favourite time of the year! For many reasons, but mostly because of the fashion, style and all the cute fits that you can put together! Last season I put together a blog post on my Favourite Fall Fashion Trends you can check out, but this season I am going to put together a fall fashion guide! Don’t worry, YES I’ll include links and all the categories/pieces that I have been obsessing over and what I think will be trending this 2023 season! But I’ll also say that it also doesn’t really matter what is “trending”, it’s easy to think that when it comes to fashion you have to have the latest and the greatest, but that’s so not the case! Fashion is about developing your own personal flare and aesthetic, which means it truly doesn’t matter what anyone else is wearing or buying! It comes down to you expressing your own colour palette, unique style and personal taste! So I always say if your not having fun with it, it’s not fashion! So have fun and listen to your inner creative genius!
Below I’m sharing what’s been calling my name in this seasons fall fashion and what i’m being drawn too! Eeeeek I seriously can’t wait for all the cute fall fashion pics! I’ll share more detailed posts about my fall looks going forward in the season, but for now I’ll share what my main themes are! TRENDY & timeless TRENCHES
Trench coats have been a staple piece in my closet since…. well I was 12! I’m not kidding! I remember having a long beige-y brown button up kids trench coat from the GAP (my mom knew how to dress me & I’ve always loved clothes) and I thought I was just the absolute coolest when I would wear it haha! So the obsession continues on… they’re a staple piece for me for many reasons in the fall season! One, they’re perfect for layering! You guys know I love a good layered look! Trenches are typically roomy which means you can easily pair them with layers underneath, whether that be a cute knit, or for a more casual look a hoodie layered under is also super chic and cool! Two, you can wear them on a chilly day buttoned up, or still rock them on those sunny fall days opened or unzipped! Now the colour and styles out there for trenches are endless, trenches are truly a timeless fall wardrobe piece! I have had this white bone coloured trench for 5 years, and it’s still one of my go-to’s! Here are some styles and pieces that have my eye for this fall 2023 season!

TEXTURED TOTES
Accessories will always be a huge part of my personal styling flare, I think they are what really take your look to a whole new level and can really elevate your sense of fashion! I’ve always thought of accessories as the compliment to your statement pieces, and you can accessorize in so many ways! For this 2023 fall fashion season I have been drawn to tote bags (surprise surprise I know), but not just any ordinary tote bag, I’m talking textured tote bags! Some of my current favourite textured totes are faux fur, a cotton knit, a teddy bear material, or any type of textured fabric such as boucle, or a waffle weave! Another texture I love is the crouched look, one of my go to brands for beautiful handmade crouched totes is Churi, I wrote a whole blog post on them here! That’s where the one I styled here is from! Isn’t it stunning…. all the detail ughhhh! I’m a sucker for any type of texture when it comes to fashion! I even made this faux fur tote bag you can check out here! SWEATER WEATHER
I absolutely can not call my fall wardrobe complete without the essential, oversized chunky sweater look! I mean it’s not fall fashion without your classic sweater! I have also been loving to have a pop of colour in my wardrobe and some fun patterns and sweaters are the perfect way to showcase this as well! There’s so many cute options out there! I also love the classic fall sweater look, leaning towards more neutrals tones like beige, grey and white! Love a good textured pattern sweater as well! So chic! Sweaters are definitely one reason why I am in LOVE with fall fashion! You can go for the oversized look (my favourite) and be super comfy and cozy, or you can go for the cropped look, or find the balance in between! DENIM ON DENIM
Denim this and denim that! Denim is a look that can be done beautifully in any season, but this fall I have been loving on the denim on denim look! Layering your denim pieces together can really create an elevated look, and personally I think it makes for some really cool street style! My favourite denim statement piece for this fall has definitely got to be the trending long denim skirt! You can pair this with a classic white tee, a cute chunky oversized sweater, or go full on with the denim on denim and style it with a jean jacket! So cute! This is definitely a fun one to play with! I just ordered a denim skirt and I personally can’t wait for create some looks with this! Here’s some denim I’m currently loving!

BLAZERS
Even if your like me, and not heading into the corporate world every day, this fall season is the perfect excuse to wear that adorable blazer! When it comes to blazers and pant suits I defiantly lean more towards the oversized look, especially when it comes to dressier pants and blazers! I find it gives me more room to add my own personal flare and goes more with my street style vibes! Blazers are the perfect addition to your fall wardrobe because they easily can be thrown over an outfit, and easily taken off…. weather dependent! They can be worn an as addition to an already elevated look, or added to something more casual, like athletic wear or your classic white tee and jeans! Personally I love to throw them over my outfits and go for the casual look, it adds such a cool looking factor to your style! Here are some of my top picks for blazers!

monochrome styling
I love a good monochromatic look, I find them so pleasing to the eye and you can really tell the thoughtfulness behind someones look when colour, shades and tones of colour have been well planned and created within the look! I also wrote a whole post on how I style using the monochromatic principals here! Monochromatic colour styling focuses on varying shades or hues of one particular colour throughout the whole outfit! Just like the outfits I styled here, the beige colour is what is being focused on, it beautifully creates an uninterrupted line from head to toe and seamlessly flows! Focusing on neutrals is a great way to play with monochromes in your wardrobe, I love to do with black, whites/creams, and browns! Monochrome styling creates a simple, clean and yet elegant look and can really elevate your looks this fall! Lots of LACe
Okay lace has been something that recently I have been really drawn to! I think it’s because of the detail and texture it adds to your look! And for me when it comes to detail and texture, I’m all for it! I wrote a blog back in the summer on why I’m loving lace, you can check that out here! This fall lace really seems to be making a statement, and I’m here for it obviously! Lace gives off a romanic, sexy, yet edgy vibes! I can’t wait to pair some cute lace tops with something more rigid like a denim or leather jacket to balance out the delicateness of the lace to create a very enticing look! There’s so many cute ways to incorporate the lace look into your fall wardrobe, here are some of the pieces that are inspiring me for this 2023 fall season!

CHUNKY BOOTS
It’s not that I meant to save the best for last, it just kinda happened that way… CHUNKY BOOTS! An obsession I will have forevermore! Is fall really fall without boots, let alone chunky boots? I don’t think so! Personally they make or break a look for me and what you pair on your feet really encloses your whole look! Chunky boots are one of my favourite ways to finish off a fall look, and they give me that edgy and bold look I absolutely love to play with when it comes to my styling approach! Fall gives me every excise I’ve ever needed to add to my chunky boot collection because lets be honest the options for boots are endless out there! I do have some personal preference when it comes to chunky boots in the fall though, what I look for is a for is a big heel that really gives the boots some dimension and flare! I also love the square look as opposed to the pointy toed style! Here are my tops picks…. eeeeek how can I chose just one!!! You can’t, you just can’t!

Fall fashion has to be one of the main reasons why I have absolutely fallen in love with fashion and the world of design to begin with! It’s such an inspiring time on the year, with all the textures, details and the layers! Ugh the LAYERS! This fall 2023 fashion guide gives you so much room to play around with, and has some great ideas on how to structure your looks for this 2023 fall season, but always remember the best way to showcase your uniqueness and your own sense of fashion is when it comes from within!
