MUST-HAVE ESSENTIALS – baggy fashion
Baggy fashion is in you guys, and oversized tees are the perfect entry point! I have ALWAYS been a huge fan of the oversized look, this can be done in so many different ways and let me tell you when it works, it works! There is no right or wrong way to do the oversized look, but there are certain pieces and styles that are just so good when pulling off this trend! From the oversized hoodies, to the oversized pants, and the oversized shirts, I love it ALL!! When I’m shopping and looking for new ways to style looks I always keep in mind finding some pieces that fit oversized! This completely changes the style of your outfit and gives you a much different look!
It’s so fun to play around with, and there definitely are some tips and tricks to consider when it comes to nailing this looks! Including how to utilize layers, and considering proportions! I’ll share with you how I lock down this look, and of course I’ll share my must-have items when it comes to baggy fashion! USING LAYERS
Some may say it looks like your drowning in your clothes lol, my grandpa has said this to me one too many times, but hey what does he know right?? Come on grandpa! 😉 That’s where utilizing layers comes into play! Oversized looks give you a lot of room to play because of all the extra space, so it’s really easy to mix in something on the tighter side too, this gives your baggy look some more contrast as well! I layered this tighter black long sleeve under my baggy tee because I went with a pair of baggy jeans as well, so the look needed a tighter layer to pull it all together!
CONSIDER PROPORTION
Normally when your showcasing a baggy statement piece your going to want it to stand out among your other articles of clothing you’ve styled it with. For example, if you have a pair of baggy oversized jeans, pairing it with a cute bra top or something that shows a little more skin will really elude to the baggy statement! Obviously I didn’t do that here in this look, I really went all out and baggy, hence why I layered a tight long sleeve underneath! But normally I would consider doing a small top, big pant look to create a balanced proportion, but again there are no rules! Play with it and have fun!
