My Trip to Italy- My Guide to Positano & the Amalfi Coast

I just returned home from the most incredible trip in Italy and I can’t wait to share all about it with you!! From the places we ate, shopped, and spend laying in the sun along the Mediterranean Sea I was absolutely mind blown and astonished by the breath taking views, colourful buildings and architecture, and of course all the beautiful delicious food! I have put together a guide for you with some of my MUST visits for when you take a trip along the Amalfi Coast line, my favourite spots, shopping and of course places to eat! We spent most of our time in Positano and it was so perfect, also checking out Amalfi and the famous Italian Island of Capri! These are all towns that are located along the Amalfi Coast line, each with their own unique vibe and attraction!

POSITANO

We spent 5 nights in Positano and I am so glad this was our home base along the beautiful Amalfi Coast! I’ll tell you why… Positano is by far, in my opinion, the most beautiful and unique town out of them all! It’s so charming and vibrant! I loved how the town is build all throughout a jagged mountainside, making the views incomparable to else where! It’s picturesque layout is absolutely iconic ! The village and walkways are absolutely enchanting, with views that look out at the dazzling waterfront! Positano is full of tiny winding roads that loop around the town, it’s what makes it so unique and different than the rest! The main road runs right through the main village, full of Vespas, taxis, tourists, and sometimes large buses! I called it beautiful chaos!
The Amalfi coats has definitely become a hot spot over the last couple of years, becoming everyones dreamy summer vacay. I would say though that Positano was the least filled with wondering tourists and seemed to not have as many people as Amalfi or Capri! It was definitely the most peaceful and secluded spot along the Amalfi coast line in terms of still being very popular! There was little to no wait times at most of the restaurants, and had much more of a peaceful and local vibe which I absolutely loved! Let’s get into everything I did, the places to go, where to eat, and my favourite spots and secrets in Positano!

ARRIVAL

We flew into Naples, one of the main airports in this area! It is the most common way to make your way to the Amalfi Coast line! We had it organized for a private car service to pick us up from the Airport and drive us to our AirBnb in Positano! It was about an hour drive! I highly highly recommend doing this! Especially after a long travel day the last thing you want to have to do is figure out your way around with a taxi or bus and have to wait for this! This made our arrival 100000x better! I wouldn’t recommend doing it any other way! It’s also important to note that because the town of Positano is basically carved out on a hillside cliff, there are a TON of stairs whenever you go. To get back up and down by foot you will be walking up a hill no matter what! You definitely don’t want to be stuck carrying your baggage up there stairs! It much easier to have a car service drop you off right at your stay!

GETTING AROUND POSITANO

I wouldn’t recommend renting a car for your visit unless you have that all planned out with parking etc. There is little to no parking when it comes to your stay and it’s probably the least cost effective. The town itself is actually quite small, and you will be walking pretty much everywhere, there are no roads that take you down to the waterfront and back up! Be prepared for lots of walking and stairs both up and down, Positano is very hilly! Remember thats it’s basically built into the side of a cliff! There is a taxi surface located in the centre of the village but its always going to be a minimum of €30 each time! As well as a bus that goes around Positano, we never took this but it always seemed to have a wait of people and seemed very useful to get around! Vespa’s are the main way locals and many tourists get around if they decide to rent them! We didn’t rent one but it’s definitely on the bucket list for next time! There are also ferry’s that run daily along the coastline that can take you to different towns if your in the mood for a day trip, we did do this and I’ll get into more of that below!

WHERE TO STAY

There are a ton of adorable and stunning Italian AirBnbs in Positano to choose from if thats what your looking for but there are also some gorgeous hotels as well. It just depends what your looking for! If you’re going the AirBnb route it’s definitely worth it to get one with a beautiful terrace and a stunning view so make sure to look at that! Ours was absolutely stunning, and it made the whole trip! Each morning waking up felt like a dream! I would also always check where its located because the higher up you are, the longer hike up a ton of stairs you have to get back up every time you go explore the town and beach front! Next time I visit Positano I have dreams to stay at Le Sirenuse or Il San Pietro. They’re definitely a splurge but it’s going to be so worth it! Le Sirenuse has such an incredible location in town and it looked absolutely stunning… just so romantic! Il San Pietro is basically it’s own private getaway located on the side of a cliff, with its own private beach, tennis court and restaurants! They are both very luxurious!
our AirBnb
Here are some of the hotels that stood out to me and I heard amazing reviews and experiences about!
Le Sirenuseluxury hotel close to the heart of Positano, incredible location
Il San Pietroluxury resort just around the bend of the town, absoutely breathtaking and romantic
Villa Treville luxury resort, just around the bend from town. Luxury Villa’s and private rooms, an Italian sanctuary filled with gardens and terraces
Villa Francamid range hotel, very pretty
Palazzo Murratmid range hotel, beautiful views. 2 minute walk from the beach (saves your stairs)
Hotel Poseidonmid range hotel, highly rated and popular. Home to the iconic Il Tridente restaurant
Le Sirenuse & La Sponda (inside Le Sirenuse)

Eats & restaurants

I’m sure you are already aware of how amazing the food is in Italy, either from trying it yourself or just from hearing about it! It’s one of the main reasons people find Italy so memorable and such an incredible experience! I’m sure you know by now that I’m a huge foodie so trying all the restaurants in Positano was definitely one of the things I was most excited for! I’ll share everywhere we ate, our favourites, and some other places we didn’t get the chance to go to but heard amazing things! Next time I would definitely make reservations a head of time to some of the more popular restaurants, this time though we decided to do everything on a whim and because it was off season everything was quite open! But we did miss some of the more highly rated restaurants just based off of timing and plans! The food in Italy tastes so much better- everything is SO much fresher and cleaner… you can just tell!!
Da Gabrisa Restaurant – this was the very first place we ate as soon as we arrived! We were starving and it was one of the first places we saw and decided to try it! It was higher up with beautiful views! It is attached to the cute Hotel Villa Gabrisa! The food was delicious, but very small portions! I realized I never took a picture of the food because I was so present in the moment and stunned at the view! I ordered the sabelfish and it was soooo good and fresh! This is where we had our very first Lemon Spritz- the most popular Italian drink!
Da Gabrisa Restaurant View & Hotel
Casae Bottega – this was by far one of my favourites spots we found! This is a cafe style brunch/lunch restaurant. You know my obsession with finding cute cafes so naturally this was one of my all time favourite spots that is a MUST visit, either for your morning coffee, brunch or late lunch! The menu is very large with tons of choices, with vegan & vegetarian options as well! It also has a small market shop with beautiful ceramics, porcelains and lines! Not to mention all the beautiful fresh and local produce they bring in daily! Everything about it is just perfect! This is top on my list!!!
Ristorante L’Ancora – we stumbled upon this place on our walk through the main town and noticed how beautiful the view was from the sea side tables, and we were lucky enough to get seated with an ocean view! Initially the view is what gravitated us towards the restaurant, and I’ll be honest and say that the food was good, but nothing incredible! If you look at the reviews online most people will mention how rude the staff was and I have to say they aren’t entirely wrong- they weren’t that friendly! We ordered a chicken Caesar salad and a classic Bolognese Pasta! This view and Lemon Spritz made up for this though… I don’t know if we would return again for the food!
Ristorante L’Ancora
Il Fornillo – This was another restaurant we happened to pass by on our way down to the beach, again our dining experience was very unplanned and we wanted to do it that way so we didn’t have too much planned out! The food was great, I had another chicken Caesar salad, and a side of roasted veggies! It was delicious and fresh! They had a large menu with a lot of beautiful looking pastas!
Il Fornillo Restaurant
The Markets (grocery stores) – There are quite a few markets around Positano filled with fresh produce, beautiful exotic fruits and of course Italian snacks and goodies! If you’re planning on grabbing a few groceries while your visiting it’s actually such a fun and memorable experience! One night I decided I was going to attempt to make a fresh pesto pasta, I just couldn’t resist! The ingredients all looked so fresh and stunning I knew I had to! I found some fresh basil, lemons, garlic, and of course the best parmigiana cheese! As well as some Italian noodles! It turned out so fresh and beautiful, we ate it on our terrace with the most stunning view! This was definitely a highlight moment for me, cooking pesto pasta in Positano! The food is SO much better here… My favourite grocery store was Delicafessen S.N.C. Emilia was so friendly, they have the biggest piece of parmigiana cheese and they cut it just for you… it was the most Italian thing I have ever seen and I loved it!

fresh flowers, and champagne of course

I wanted to share a few other recommendations for you below that I wish we had visited and I have on my list for next time…
La Sponda – incredibly beautiful environment and food, located in the Le Sirenuse hotel. Known for the beautiful decor and aesthetic as well the the stunning food!
Da Vincenzo – recommended on Michelin Star Guide, one of the oldest restaurants in Positano and build into the side of a cliff
Il Tridente – definitely need reservations very popular and well known to travellers and locals. Incredible view and top rated food!
Ristorante da Costantino – fresh ingredients, authentic Italian food. Incredible views from restaurant seating area
Zass restaurant – restaurant at Il San Pietro resort, recommended on Michelin Star Guide
La Tagliata – farm to table, they grow everything themselves. This is on Positano mountain part and they have a shuttle to take you to and from.
Saraceno D’Oro – A huge list of wood oven pizzas on menu, heard from our AirBnb host they have the best pizza in Positano! They also have incredible desserts
Chez Black – Located right on the main beach in Positano, very popular for the seafood and pasta dishes. I would avoid any other restaurants on the main beach as they’re very ‘touristy’ (less authentic & cheap), but if your looking for somtheing there I would recommend Chez Black
Maestro – Beautiful terrace, with a panoramic view! Focused on healthy, fresh foods you can order fresh juices & fruits! A lovely healthy spot to stop with a stunning view of the town! It’s not located right in the main town of Positano, it is towards the right hand side towards Amalfi
Da Adolfo – This is one of Positano’s most iconic and known restaurants! If you want to eat fresh seafood right on the beach then this is your spot! This restaurant is located on Laurito Beach which is accessible by boat from Positano’s main port! The boast has a red flag that has a fish on it! This free boat shuttle leaves the main port hourly from 10am-1pm and brining you back by 4pm! They also have beach services where you can rent lounges during the day! The perfect day trip! Reservations are required and recommended so make sure to plan ahead!

MY WARDROBE & OUTFITS, WHAT TO PACK

Picking and styling my outfits was obviously so much fun for me during this trip!! Before I left I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted to wear, what I wasn’t fully prepared for was the humidity though! Keep in mind you’ll want to wear light clothing and as little as possible lol, especially during the day! I loved wearing a baiting suit and a sundress or skirt! It’s so hot walking everywhere during the day with all the stairs, but later at night you can definitely dress up and wear something a little fancier I found! I loved anything ruffled, floral and flowy for this trip! Lots of light, airy, pretty colours with fun or bold details… You’ll definitely want lots of bathing suits, cute coverups, beautiful dresses both fancy & flowy, sun hats, beach bags, a cute beach blanket, flowy skirts and sundresses! Also athletic wear for hikes, walks, or exploring days! A good pair of walking sandals that you can walk to and from the beach in… I brought runners but didn’t wear them but I would recommend bringing a pair in case you do a hike or longer walk! Of course you’ll want cute dinner, going out shoes, like lots of sandals, and a cute heel or two!

EXPERIENCES & WHAT TO DO

There really is so much to do and explore in the town of Positano, I do wish we had more time to do everything but now I definitely have some experiences on the list for my next visit! This was our very first time in Positano so we really didn’t know what to expect, we wanted our first time to be dedicated to exploring and finding our own favourite spots and hidden gems without having to much planned out previously! This allowed us to not be rushed and to be able to allow our days to flow however it took us! I loved that we did it this way for our first time but now when I go back I know exactly what I want to do and have a better idea of the town itself and feel much more familiar with it! I’ll share everything we did, our favourite spots and of course what’s on my list for next time!
Positano Beach Clubs & Beaches (my secrets)
Of course while your in Italy taking advantage of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea must be at the top of your list! With all the beautiful beach clubs around with sun beds it’s one of the most popular things to do in Positano! On this trip we never actually rented out a spot at one of the beach clubs, it’s on the list for next time! You’ll want to have a whole day dedicated to being at the beach club since your paying for it and to take full advantage of it! Usually the price you pay gives you credit for food and drink! We never had a full day we wanted to spend doing this but we of course spent a few hours on the beach swimming and laying in the sun! Positano has four beaches: Spiaggia Grande & Fornillo Beach (both accessible by foot) and then Arienzo Beach, and Laurito Beach are both accessible by a free boat ride from the town of Positano!
Here is my little secret to the beaches in Positano… The main beach Spiaggia Grande (that you see in all the iconic photos) only has a very small section of sand for public beach front that’s not apart of the beach clubs where you have to rent a spot. If your not renting chairs on the beach and you’re just wanting to going for a swim I wouldn’t recommend going here! Fornillo beach is a more hidden beach with a much larger section of public beach where you can freely lay you towels/blankets down wherever you please. Not many people know to come here or that another beach even exists so you’re welcome!! There are still spots where you can rent chairs but it’s not nearly as many! You can’t see it from the main village of Positano its just around the bend to the left! Fornillo is a much quieter neighbourhood in Positano, one lots of visitors miss! It’s why its much more hidden and quiet! Finding this beach and spending the day here was definitely a highlight for me!
Below is a list of some beach clubs I would recommend when you visit Positano! Although they all have a small section of free beach area, I would recommend paying and spending the day at one of the following…
La Scogliera Beach Club – one of the most iconic and glamorous beach clubs in Positano. Much more private and you get your own day beds and dining table. Pricer option for sure, but so worth it! It’s located just up from the main beach Spiaggia Grande, but much less touristy! In my opinion, Spiaggia Grande is my least favourite beach in Positano but this is tucked around the corner and much more exclusive! I wouldn’t recommend any of the beach clubs right on Spiaggia Grande.
Da Ferdinando Beach Club – located at my favourite beach, Fornillo Beach! This is both a restaurant and a beach club and has been around since 1953!! So iconic! If you don’t rent a spot here you can still check out the restaurant!
Luarito Beach Club – Located on Laurito Beach hosted by the beautiful Villa Treville! Free access by shuttle boat from main port in Positano! Beautiful restaurants as well!
Da Adolfo Beach Spot – If your planning to have lunch/dinner at Da Adolfo which I highly recommend (mentioned above), I would make it a day trip and book a spot at there beach club as well! This is also located on Laurito Beach and you would get there by the free boat shuttle, you must have restaurant reservations to use the boat shuttle!
Arienzo Beach Club – Located on Arienzo beach, this is one of the most popular and well known beach clubs in Positano! Known for their iconic orange umbrellas and sun beds! If you’re looking for something more lively and upbeat this is your top choice! A free boat shuttle can take you here from the main port in Positano!
One Fire Beach Club – Although this is not in the town of Positano I feel like I have to include it! One Fire Beach Club is located at Gavitella Beach in Praiano, a town just next to Positano! Easily accessible from a free boat shuttle service! I have to recommend this beach club, because it is probably the most ‘club’ like, and if you’re in for a party and loud music this one is for you!
** note that all of these require bookings, and should be booked in advance to arrival! Which can easily be done with a google search of the name!
Cocktails, Aperitivo, & Night Life
Of course enjoying the dreamy nights view with a hand crafted cocktail, or an Aperitivo has to be on your list! Before coming I knew there was one Cocktail Bar in particular I wanted to go to and it ended up being THE most perfect night! I’ll share that with you below! There are quite a few places to get a great cocktail in Positano and soak up the night life, the bars are all so unique and have there own vibe and attraction! Aperitivo is a must in Italy, it is their version of happy hour! I’ll give you some more details below and some great spots to enjoy an Aperitivo during your stay!
Franco’s Bar – Franco’s Bar absolutely exceeded my expectations and is so worth the hype in my opinion! I knew this was one spot I needed to check off my list! They don’t take reservations it is based off of first come first serve! They open at 6pm and there is always a line (it’s worth it trust me), I got there at about 5:40 and there was only a few people ahead of me! What makes Franco’s Bar so iconic is the atmosphere, the drinks, and the view simply can’t be compared to anything. What really did it for me was the complimentary olives and popcorn… I was in heaven the entire time! We ended up getting the best seat in the house… we were willing to do the minimum of 2 drinks per person to get this spot! It was an absolute YES! It is located just up from the Le Sirenuse Hotel! Franco’s Bar should definitely be on your list for your visit!
Francos Bar
Music on the Rocks – Music on the Rocks is by far the best nightlife option in Positano! It’s basically a club in a cave, and you can dance the night away! We could hear the music going on and it sounded like an absolute blast! It it located down on the main beach over to the right, you won’t miss it!
FLY Lounge Bar – This is another great bar with beautifully hand crafted cocktails and it happens to be just above music on the rocks down on the main beach! It has arguably one of the best views from the beach and many stunning drinks to chose from.
Aldo’s Cocktail Bar & Sea Food Grill – Located inside Le Sirenuse, you’ll find Aldo’s Cocktail Bar! This is an excellent place to grab an Aperitivo and watch the sunset before dinner!
Le Petit Murat – Located inside of the popular hotel Palazzo Murat that is just a two minute walk for the main beach! You’ll find Le Petit Murat inside of the hotel in a beautiful courtyard with phenomenal views of the town and the famous church dome in the centre of town!
Explore the Village
One of the things that I was most excited about when arriving to Positano was exploring the village, checking out all the stores and wandering the streets! This is what really immerses me into the culture and the daily life of the locals and really makes me feel like I’m getting a whole new experience to a way of living! The main town centre in Positano is filled with so many stores, markets, beautiful pottery, postcards, gelato and more! I loved seeing all the local art, ceramics, and dishes! This helped us get a better idea of where everything is located, how the streets work, and seeing the layout of Positano! I would definitely suggest spending your first morning or afternoon wandering the streets and exploring the main town and of course checking out all the shopping which I’ll get into below…
Shopping
I already knew the shopping in Italy was going to be a highlight for me as well… you all know my obsession with shopping and finding cute things!! I just can’t help myself! This was also what I was most looking forward to! Browsing all the unique shops, art stores, and souvenirs shops was so much fun!! All the main stores and shopping is in the town centre! This is where you will find all the clothing stores, souvenir shops, dishes, and more! There is so much to look at so I recommend spending a morning or afternoon doing this! I would suggest that you do it in the morning because as they day goes on it becomes incredible busy with the boats brining even more tourists in and this is where everyone comes to check out the shops! There was one store in particular that I have been dreaming of coming to for YEARS! I always saw it being posted about online and it looked so dreamy and beautiful, this is one store you absolutely can not miss…
CB Positano– It is filled with the most darling dresses, tote bags, cosmetic bags and more! The patterns of the designs and bags are all so unique and different! Just look how beautiful it is! They actually have two stores, one is just a little farther up then the other but both are along the main strip! I would suggest checking out both before buying anything because one might have something you like more! Let’s just say I took quite a few trips here deciding what to buy, what patterns I loved, and picking out gifts for your mom and sister! I ended up getting the most beautiful dress, an overnighter with a zipper, and a couple tote bags! I was simply obsessed! Half of my suitcase coming home was filled with CB Positano! While we were here I filmed a collaboration reel with them you can check out here… it was a pinch me moment for sure!

DAY TRIPS

With the daily ferry rides leaving Positano’s main port almost hourly, if you have time I would definitely suggest checking out other towns along the coastline, especially the Island of Capri! If your just staying in one location along the Amalfi Coast line during your stay this is a really great way to really take in all that the Amalfi Coast Line has to offer! Like I mentioned earlier, out of all the places I’m so happy that Positano was our home base, but I’m still so happy we were able to check out the other towns as well because now I have a better idea of what there like and if they are worth staying at next time! The ferry’s can all be booked online and are fairly easy to figure out and navigate- just make sure to be on time and they don’t wait for anyone and leave right at the time they say!
AMALFI
We first took a ferry over towards the right hand side of Positano, to the town of Amalfi. I think everyone comes here thinking its the main and best place to go along the coast line simply because it’s called Amalfi, but in my opinion it is the least exciting and unique town! If I were to describe it I would say it’s become the main tourist trap out of all the towns! By all means check it out, but I would avoid eating anywhere close to the main port or in the town centre! They get so many visiters a day and these restaurants are not about quality its about quantity! There wasn’t too much going on here, besides all the tourist shops and people wandering! The main attraction is the huge staircase leading to the cathedral right in the center of town called Duomo di Amalfi which is very beautiful! Overall the only thing to really do here is wander the streets and explore the town but keep in mind that is what every person there is coming to do! Then we headed to the Island of Capri…
CAPRI
The Island of Capri is definitely worth exploring and checking out even if your not staying here! I’ll share with you some tips and tricks though for when you arrive! It is beautiful and surrounded by lots of greenery from the trees and hills! Capri is one of the most well known spots along the Amalfi Coast Line, it’s a giant Island that has a lot to see, do and explore! By the time we got here is was mid afternoon and we were getting so tired! If we were to do it again, we would have left much earlier and came to Capri first before it got crazy! It was so chaotic! When you get to the main port where the ferry’s arrive you will see plenty of restaurants and spots to eat – DO NOT eat here!!! Same thing as I said with Positano and Amalfi! You want to avoid the touristy places and eat and support the authentic and truly Italian restaurants for your sake!! To get out of the main port of Capri, you can taxi or take the tram up to the top part of the island and you will get to the main town square, this is called the Piazzetta! Here you can grab a cocktail, coffee or something to eat and people watch! Up here is also where you will find the much better restaurants, luxury shopping, luxury hotels, and the more upscale part of Capri! I wish we had more time here to explore but next time maybe I would do a night or two in Capri to really take it all in! Here is what we did on Capri and some other recommendations on the list for next time!
Angelica Capri – We had lunch at Angelica Capri, it was honestly our favourite meal during our whole trip! As you walk around through the little streets in the main part of Capri there are so many restaurants and places to eat, and Angelica Capri stood out to us and now we know why! It’s extremely small, but so cute and has so much character right down to the menu! You can tell how much they care about the food. Right down to the freshness and the quality! They were telling us that the burrata cheese on top of the gnocchi had arrived that morning from a local farm!! & you could tell… If you go to Capri you must eat here! The meatballs were probably the best thing I have ever tasted…
Luxury Shopping on Via Camerelle – Name any designer store, especially the Italian ones and Capri probably has it! This is one of the hotspots in all of Italy when it comes to designer fashion and luxury shopping! Some of the designers will even design exclusive lines that are only available and sold in their store on Capri! I had to much fun looking in these stores, especially Prada! There was so many unbelievable pieces that were simply stunning and sooo chic!

Carthusia– purchase a fragrance scented with local flowers – it’s like taking Capri home in a bottle! I can’t believe I missed this this time… this it’s at the top of my list for next time!! The flowers on Capri are absolutely stunning, this is such a beautiful experience and a truly unique keep sake from the island of Capri!
Beach Club La Fontelina- Visit the Iconic and well known La Fontelina Beach Club! Known for it’s blue and white lawn chairs and rocky cliffs
Gelato at Buonocore Gelateria – You have to try the gelato here! It’s a legendary spot in Capri and its right on the main strip so it’s hard to miss! It’s so beautiful and truly a sweet art in Italy!
Anacapri– This is Capri’s second home on the Island! Visiting Anacapri is something I really wish to do next time! It gets you away from all the craze, and is a much more local experience! Although Anacapri does not have all the luxury designer shops, it is home to more exquisite souvenirs shops and local handcrafts which in my opinion is just as amazing and slightly more memorable! You can easily get here from a bus that leaves Capri daily to and from! Anacapri is also home to some incredible attractions such as the Villa San Michele Museum (an old home that has since turned to a museum filled with gorgeous gardens and artwork) and the Monte Solaro chairlift (the best views and plantlife/florals on Capri)! Both are on the list for next time! As well as the well known restaurant Da Gelsomina!
Il Riccio restaurant, Hotel & Spa –
There is plenty more to do on the Island of Capri, like seeing the Blue Grotto and the Faraglioni Rocks! These are just a few things that I wanted to share for my list for next time as I mentioned our time in Capri was very short but I can’t wait to go back!

MY NEXT TRIP

Of course I’m already thinking about my next trip lol how can I not?! Here is what’s on my list for next time I visit the Amalfi Coast, these are what I would do next time and wish we had time for while we were there!!
Cooking Class – a lot of the restaurants offer cooking classes and this seemed like such a fun way to imerse yourself into the Italian culture of food! Plus totally worth it to pick up some incredible cooking knowledge to bring back home… I can’t wait for a cooking class in Italy! **book in advance
Boat Tour – this is also a very popular activity to do in Positano and really anywhere along the coast line! There are lots for boats you can rent for the day or a couple hours and have a crew member take you out along the coast line for a tour! They take you to secret spots you can only reach by boat and go swimming in the Mediterranean Sea! **book in advance
Rent Vespas – I was definitely to frighted to rent Vespa’s this time, I was so not used to how crazy the roads where and it seemed a little scary to me lol! But after seeing all the tourists do it and how incredible it looked to ride along the coast line… I’m totally doing this next time! **book in advance
Fiordo di Furore – I seriously wish we had time to make it to Fiordo di Furore …. this is such an incredible landmark along the Amalfi Coast and I totally get why!! It’s absolutely stunning and looks like something from my dreams! This incredible little gem is a deep and long, narrow body of water that flows far inland under an Amalfi Coast line bridge! It is located close to the small town of Furore and you can get here by a bus! From Positano, you can take the 5070 bus to Fiordo di Furore which takes about 30- 35 minutes. The bus picks up and drops off in front of Hotel Casa Albertine. It’s breathtaking, I have to see this in person next time!
Visit Other Towns Along the Coast Line – There are so many other towns along the Amalfi Coast Line that are so beautiful and unique! I would love next time to check them out and really see the character and vibe of each of them! Such as Ravello, Furore, and Praiano!
Try More Restaurants – That list of restaurant recommendations is long!! I mean I’m not surprised… it’s Italy! At some point I want to have tried all of them & I’m not kidding!!
Stay at Il San Pietro & Le Sireunse – Both of these hotel are on my bucket list for sure!!! They’re both stunning and incredible luxury stays in Positano and I’m so excited to experience them to the fullest!
Hike the Path of the Gods– The path of the gods is a very well known hike along the Amalfi Coast! With stunning views along this passage way this has become an historic hike
Stay in Capri – Visit Anacapri and check off my Capri recommendations listed above!
This was seriously a trip of a lifetime, it has completely opened me up to another way of life and insight on the Italian culture & cuisine! I can’t wait to go back and do it all over again and have even more experiences and incredible memories! I’m so glad I have done so much more research now and have a much better idea of the lay of the land and have my favourite places, spots and secrets.. it’s going to make it much easier next time! I really hope you found this heklp
